How to deal with rust or pollution of stainless steel kitchen utensils
1. Rust caused by harmful components in the attached exhaust
In an environment with heavy traffic in the workshop area or in the streets, the stainless steel surface is easily contaminated, and sometimes small spots of rust appear. Most of these conditions are caused by the harmful components contained in the exhaust of automobiles, air conditioners or factories. At this time, when the pollution is mild, neutral detergent or soapy water can be used to clean it completely, but when it is serious, it is not easy to deal with. In this case, the maintenance method with the same strength can be used to remove it. In this environment, do as much as possible 2 to 3 times a year for regular cleaning of the appearance, and at least one regular cleaning is required.
2. Rust caused by adhesion of salt
In coastal areas and other fronts, when the sea wind blows, stainless steel will also develop red rust in a short period of time. Also, it rusts faster than other areas, and the same is true for the treatment method. When using stainless steel exterior in coastal areas, it is hoped to use stainless steel with more corrosion resistance as much as possible. As for the stainless steel exterior, do regular cleaning 3 to 4 times a year as much as possible.
3. When rusted by dissimilar metal adhesion
When the "incidental rust" caused by iron powder, etc. or the situation is not serious, the rust can be easily removed by wiping with the sea surface or cloth, plus neutral detergent or soapy water. Then, rinse with clean water, be careful not to let the lotion stay on it. This level of rust removal, as long as the removal work is done in time, it is not only easy to maintain, but also more effective, and the removal cost is also very cheap. But if it is ignored, a mixture of ferric hydroxide, ferric oxide, ferric sulfite, etc. will be formed soon, and it will show a serious brown rust state. In this case, it can be completely cleaned with commercially available stainless steel cleaner or 15% nitric acid dilution. However, there is also rust that cannot be removed, and at the same time, it will damage the stainless steel surface to some extent, or damage the stainless steel. At this time, use sandpaper or stainless steel brush to grind and wipe, and then use cleaning solution to clean it.
4. Rust caused by hand dirt or fingerprints
If it cannot be cleaned with a neutral detergent, use a sponge, cloth, etc. to stick with organic solvents (alcohol, light benzine, acetone, etc.) to wipe it. If this method still cannot be completely removed, use the cleaning liquid for stainless steel to remove it. All in all, after cleaning with various cleaning methods, you must do another rinse with clean water.
5. Pollution caused by surface protective film
It is to wipe with a sponge or cloth with water-soluble neutral detergent or alcohol. If it is still ineffective, use a diluent and light oil to remove it, and then rinse it thoroughly with clean water.
6. Rust caused by adhesion of cleaning fluid
If it cannot be cleaned with a neutral detergent, use a cleaning solution to remove it.
